Holiday Fun Tips

With the holidays quickly approaching, we wanted to lend some easy, inexpensive, and fun tips for fabulous entertaining.

Must haves: Silver gilded glass votive holders from Pier I add a gorgeous sparkle to your holiday table
Bring the outdoors in - birch branches bring a holiday cheer to parties - dress them up with bright, sparkly ornaments or hang silver votive candles for a black tie soiree

Drink up!: A toasty, wintry cocktails is a must have for your bar:
mulled wine - the easiest recipe calls for one bottle of good red wine, 12 cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 lemon rind, and 2 tbs. of sugar - mix all ingredients and bring to a boil on the stove top. Serve in jewel-toned cocktail glasses (serve at a warm temperature, not hot)
Wine crates make for easy tiering for an hors d' oeuvres or dessert table and can be found at virtually any wine merchant.

Fun tip - as your guests enter, snap a candid photo of them and when all guests have arrived, plug in your memory card to an electronic frame for fun.
Make it a BYOB- if you're in a crunch, why not invite guests to a wine party or holiday cocktail party, where each guests brings a bottle of wine or their favorite cocktail. Happy Holidays!
